
It's fall, and that means it's time for the annual rut. This bull elk bugles at the edge of an aspen forest. He's trying to attract would-be suitors, while also putting rivals on notice. Much of the bull's energy during this time of year is spent broadcasting just how big and superior he is. Looking closely, it's evident that he's already encountered at least one other bull, as a tuft of rival fur can be seen dangling from his antlers.

CHERISH THE MOMENT

Accessible by car or via the Rim Trail, Yavapai Point is perfect for experiencing an evening Grand Canyon sunset.
